PROOFREADING AND EDITING SHOULD BE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE TRANSLATION PROCESS.
Proofreading includes correcting spelling and grammar errors, as well as stylistic organization of a text and its adjustment according to the spirit of the target language.
Editing includes locating and correcting spelling and orthography errors, which arise in the process of writing, i.e. typing a text.
In addition to the terms “proofreading” and “editing”, there is also the term “redaction”, which may be understood as additional or expanded proofreading, that is used when it is necessary to correct certain terms in accordance with expert terminology.
